Tri-Co Foodscapes
Welcome to the Tri-College Foodscapes website! The purpose of this website is to analyze various "foodscapes" or places across the tri-co where we interact with or derive some meaning from our food. The pieces within this website are based on interviews, surveys, observation, and the personal experiences of the members of PEACH320
HaverfordHaverford has one main dining hall, a Barista's nook, a student run cafe, and students living in the apartments or one of the off-campus houses have the option to opt out of the meal plan and prepare their own food, otherwise, students must be on a full meal plan. |
Bryn Mawr Bryn Mawr has two dining halls, a Barista's nook, and a coffee shop, but all students living on campus must be on a full meal plan. There are also several school sponsored kitchens for student use, and Wyndam Dining Hall, which is more of a restaurant environment that students must pay to dine at. |
SwarthmoreSwarthmore has one main dining hall, a snack bar, and two coffee bars located on campus. All students living on campus must be on a full meal plan. Swarthmore students also reguarly use their dining "points" to shop at the local Coop, as well as restaurants in "The Ville." |
